At Snow Leopard Haven, we honor Manang’s culinary heritage by serving traditional dishes that reflect the region’s flavors and culture. In addition, we offer a selection of Western favorites, including sandwiches, fresh bread, cinnamon rolls, burgers, potato fries, and cakes, ensuring a diverse menu that caters to all tastes.
Local Foods
- Tsampa Porridge. Tsampa is made from roasted barley flour. It is often mixed with butter tea or water to form a dough-like consistency and eaten as a staple food. It’s highly nutritious and easy to carry, making it ideal for the nomadic and semi-nomadic lifestyle of the region. We serve Tsampa Porridge in breakfast.
- Buckwheat Pancakes
Buckwheat grains are commonly grown in the valley and used to make porridge, bread, and pancakes.
- Thukpa: A hearty noodle soup made with meat (often yak, buffalo or goat), vegetables, and spices. It’s a warming and filling dish, perfect for the cold mountain weather. To give

- Tibetan Bread: A dense, fried bread that is often eaten with butter tea or as a snack.
- Manange Momo: momo is types of dumpling popular in Nepal and other parts of South Asia. Momo is indeed a traditional dish in Nepal. The momo made of , the different types of ingredients vegetable and meat, served with tomato based or Sesames chutney. Steamed momo are mostly preferred. SLH served Manange Momo which has unique flavor and taste in Nepal.
- Dal-Bhat (Nepali Set) – Dal-Bhat is traditional meal consisteing of lentil soup (Dal) and steamed rice (Bhat), often served with various accompaniments (Tarkari –vegetables, achar (Pickle), Gundruk, slad, papad etc.) Dal bhat is stable food for almost all Nepalese from Terai to Himalaya, may be even saying Dal Bhat power 24 hours.
